Responsible for managing the internal and external financial reporting of the Group to the highest standard. You'll proactively work on the future of reporting, reflecting developments in business strategy and play a key part in leading, coaching and supporting the Financial Reporting Accountant.

Description
- Line manager for Financial Reporting Accountant.
- Coaching and review of monthly consolidation, Annual Report, and statutory accounts prepared by Financial Reporting Accountant.
- Liaison with external auditors.
- Proactive research into the latest developments in IFRS and the consideration of the relevance, implications and impact of these on the Group's reporting.
- Liaison with tax advisors to ensure good understanding of the Group's tax position.
- Forward looking planning to prepare the business for future changes to reporting standards (e.g. TCFD reporting)
- Management and development of PowerBI reporting to meet the needs of the finance team.
- Preparation of CFO report explaining financial performance after consolidation, including variances from budget.
Profile
You will be a qualified accountant with excellent attention to detail and a technical accounting background, with a proactive and motivated mindset to ensure high quality work, and an enjoyment for coaching and developing others.
Essentials:
- Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA) from practice.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101.
- Experience preparing / reviewing / auditing consolidations and statutory accounts
Desirable:
- Experience of tax calculations or working with tax professionals
