The opportunity

Our Business Transformation - Business Delivery team works with retail banking clients to implement some of their most challenging solutions, enabling them to deliver on their corporate strategy, achieve cost and performance efficiencies and identify and capture growth opportunities for the future.

We are currently seeking to hire Retail Banking Analysts into our Business Transformation - Business Delivery Team at Manager level, requiring 7+ years of experience in business analyst roles in Retail Banking. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, professional, and passionate about what they do, and who will further add to the continued success of our team.

Your key responsibilities

Within Business Transformation - Business Delivery, you'll work as a Manager as part of a high-performing team of problem solvers and delivery experts with extensive consulting and FS experience, helping client organisations implement solutions to their most complex business issues. On a typical day, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Challenge the EY team and clients in at least one area, or a range of; banking and digital transformation, payments, retail credit lifecycle (personal, mortgages, SME), product management, finance function, regulatory implementation, or NPLs/collections
  • Support the definition of the end-to-end solutioning for retail client opportunities, projects, and programmes
  • Support the documentation of core operating model artefacts (e.g. process maps, governance structures, business architecture diagrams, etc)
  • Engage with project/programme managers to ensure the engagement's scope is understood and reflected in the project and resource plan
  • Liaise with clients to ensure requirements are exhaustive and accurately captured, and that all appropriate dependencies and risks have been captured
  • Understand and supporting a range of business, technology, and data solution options available for banking client challenges,
  • Contribute as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment by building credible relationships with clients and team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback
  • Support practice development initiatives and contribute to training, knowledge sharing, networking activities for the team
  • Draw on EY's unique capabilities in Digital, Process Excellence, Business Analyst, and experience from our global consulting network
  • Work with a global team of experts to develop unique, innovative, and game-changing solutions as well as benefitting from best-in-class operations focused training

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong understanding of core business operations gained through involvement/ delivery of projects across areas such as operating model design, regulatory implementation, lean process improvement, waterfall and agile design transformation and delivery
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability including logical reasoning, creative thinking, and the ability to untangle complex issues
  • Flexibility in approach, willingness to adapt quickly and initiative when working in unstructured environments with limited supervision
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to create, facilitate and deliver high quality presentations and outputs to stakeholders
  • A solid team player who's also an independent thinker
  • Deadline-driven, highly organised, and able to multitask

To qualify for the role,you must have

  • Strong academic record including a relevant third level degree from a recognised university
  • Experience of delivering and embedding operational or commercial change within the retail banking industry for 7+ years
  • A point of view on how the retail banking industry will continue to evolve through innovation
  • Strong numeric analysis, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proven Microsoft Office experience
  • Management Consulting (or internal change delivery) experience a benefit
  • Lean six sigma training/certification and/or Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE/PMP) an advantage
