What is the role?

Our Ballarat Branch Manager is a senior distribution leadership role managing the local team across not only the Ballarat office, but also Horsham and Bacchus Marsh, strategically driving growth of the business and managing a significant portfolio of clients.

Our client segments in the region are broad and diverse, including agribusinesses, civil and transport businesses.

This role will see you lead and manage the branches as well as your own portfolio of clients to achieve AJG Australia’s financial targets. With the support of an Operations Manager, you will oversee the operational aspects of the business and will be responsible for delivering profitable and sustainable business performance through strategic business planning and financial management of the branch.

This role is also responsible for promoting the AJG Australia brand in the Ballarat region and driving new business growth, as well as maintaining key client relationships.



What are we looking for?

As a successful candidate you will need to demonstrate:


Solid and proven people and leadership skills gained within insurance broking or a sales focused role in insurance underwriting or financial services.
An innate understanding and passion for sales and the sales process
Acute commercial planning and business acumen skills including P&L responsibility
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others
