Reporting to
Senior Finance Manager / Finance Manager - Central Trading Finance
In a nutshell
- Responsible for working with the relevant finance manager and senior finance manager to business partner the Operational/Commercial stakeholders for Stock, Sourcing, RO & Returns
- Driving performance within this business area through performance intervensions and decisions support with direction and support from the relevant finance manager and Senior Finance Manager
- Influencing decisions to drive performance across sales, margin and stock
- Deliver timely day-to-day forecasting, analysis and performance commentary.
What you need to do
- Act on financial information to provide insight to help review and maximise actual performance
- Track and understand the financial impact of action plans and projects to help drive these through to completion
- Business partner and be the primary point of contact for the Trading teams for Trading Stock
- Deliver timley and accurate day to day reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities with guidance, including:
- Work closely with the other Trading Finance Managers and Analysts to support category specific initiatives/actions to improve the performance of Stock
- Attend and actively contribute to key meetings as required
- Responsible for managing relationships with relevant stakeholders
What you need to know and show
- Qualitifed accountant (or studying towards an accounting qualification)
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand key business performance drivers
- Ability to present compex information in a simple and clear manner
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong inter-personal skills and an empathetic nature
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills
- Entusiastic, positive and proactive engagement of key stakeholders
- Resilience, flexibility and able to cope with time pressure and ambiguity.
- Experience in business facing finance role.
