We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager for IT & Change to lead and deliver audits across the Provident Financial Group (PFG). The role involves auditing all parts of the Group, including PFG's main operating divisions: Vanquis Bank and Moneybarn.
As an IT & Change Internal Audit Manager within PFG's Group Internal Audit (GIA) function, you will assess whether internal controls are adequately designed and operating effectively to meet business requirements through the delivery of a comprehensive internal audit plan. Your portfolio will cover all facets of the technology and change universe including cyber, information security, infrastructure, operational resilience, portfolio management, project management and engineering. Consideration will also be given to candidates who are particularly strong in either IT or Change, but who have limited experience in the other.

- Managing the end-to-end delivery and quality of IT / Change audit work by other Internal Auditors and/or Managers.
- Carrying out detailed audit planning to determine the scope and objectives of individual audits.
- Performing detailed audit testing to determine whether controls are adequately designed and operating effectively to mitigate key risks.
- Producing Internal Audit reports that are impactful, balanced and address the root cause of issues.
- Ensuring that audit work is performed to a suitable standard, in line with GIA methodologies and IIA standards.
- Following up the status of audit actions and where necessary testing their implementation.
- Developing and maintaining credibility and developing strong working relationships with key business stakeholders up to Director level.
Skills and Experience

You must be able to effectively plan, organise and manage complex IT and Change audit assignments, engage constructively with senior stakeholders on an ongoing basis, coach staff on assignments, and lead on various internal audit practice improvement initiatives. You will have:
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISA, PRINCE2)
- Experience of risk-based auditing in IT and Change in financial services / banking, either in an external or internal audit capacity, OR extensive experience of IT risk management in financial services.
- Strong exposure to key IT management standards COBIT / ITIL / ISO27001 / PCI DSS etc.
- Good knowledge of the challenges facing the financial services industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver high quality outputs / results and to communicate these effectively to senior management.
- A results-oriented approach able to deliver high quality results in an environment of changing demands, variable workloads and tight timescales
- Strong analytical skills and ability to critically challenge existing business frameworks, processes and controls.
