Division Description

The Finance & Accounting Division is made up of a number of core finance teams both at business unit and Group level. We perform a key management and control function in ensuring all Group financial and management reporting processes are appropriately governed. The Finance Division has overall responsibility for driving the Group budgeting and forecasting process, developing Group-focused financial insight and analysis and delivering the Group's statutory, regulatory and external reporting. We do this through collaborative business partnering in each of the Divisions and with centralised Finance shared / specialist services.

Description of business unit

Regulatory Reporting Controls & Operations (RRCO) team are responsible for reporting information to the Group's various Regulators and Supervisors, as well as regular interactions with other key stakeholders including Group Treasury, Group Risk and Business Partners across the Group.

The Liquidity Reporting team within RRCO is responsible for reporting liquidity data to the Group's Regulators and Supervisors, including the delivery of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly returns.

Purpose of the Role

The Regulatory Reporting Technical Manager will be responsible for implementation of regulatory reporting rules, EBA Q&As and associated reporting interpretations, including responsibility for ensuring appropriate/consistent treatment of product/transactions across all liquidity returns. In addition, this role will be responsible for leading out on the drafting/co-ordination of basis of preparation documents and associated process notes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Interpretation of regulatory reporting rules, including EBA Q&As, and implementation of same across liquidity returns.
  • Ensure appropriate/consistent treatment of product/transactions across all liquidity returns.
  • Perform thematic reviews of existing products/transactions to validate current basis of preparations and ensure appropriate reporting across all liquidity returns.
  • Leading out on the drafting/co-ordination of basis of preparation documents and associated process notes.
  • Work with RRCO Risk & Control and Systems & Change teams to design a strong control framework and support technology solutions (Tactical & Strategic) that deliver measureable benefits including increasing capacity, reducing operational risk and shortening production cycles through automation
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships (Business Units, UK Treasury, Group Treasury, UK Finance, Liquidity Risk functions, etc.)

What is the opportunity

The RRCO function has expanded rapidly in recent years and offers individuals the opportunity to develop their career and increase their profile within the Group. The RRCO function is response for the delivery of a wide range of prudential capital, liquidity and statistical regulatory reports, for multiple licensed entities, to multiple Regulators in a controlled, timely and efficient manner, as well as the delivery of non-routine /ad-hoc regulatory requests and the development of new regulatory reporting requirements. RRCO operates in a regulated environment which demands the highest of standards.

An exciting opportunity to join the Liquidity Reporting team at P3 level has arose. This role with report to the NSFR/AE Manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • Have at least 3-5 years Regulatory Reporting/Treasury experience, ideally within a Banking environment;
  • Detailed understanding of liquidity management, collateral management, Basel III/CRD IV and the wider regulatory environment

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Deep experience and knowledge of banking products and bank balance sheets.
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating teams of professionals
  • Proven track record in driving continuous value-add improvements and attaining standards of operational excellence.
