Your field of responsibility

The candidate will be working within the Second Line of Defense – Non Financial Risk (NFR) - NFR 1st LOD Monitoring & Testing Mumbai Team. The candidate is expected to provide a strong leadership to deliver on the key mandate of proactively carrying out Independent Evaluation of risks and testing/ monitoring of Key Controls. The candidate will build up positive relationship with key partners and proactively manage the Evaluation mandate.

The role also includes below important aspects:

• Manage the Evaluation mandate and self-perform the independent evaluation/ tests/ monitoring
  
• Conclude Risks evaluation and key controls' testing on time, to ensure targets set for month and the year are met
  
• Develop proactive approach to identify risk and propose solutions to mitigate the potential risk, if any, during the evaluation process
  
• Proactively arrange and participate in the meetings with the NFR Risk Managers / Control Owner / Control Assessor especially in case of complexities, conflict management, finalizing and convincing difficult recommendations and ratings
  
• Development of risk assessment models to enable solid sampling methodology for independent evaluation of risks and testing of Key Controls
  
• Ensure adequate documentation to support the ratings and recommendations
  
• Support in the preparation of monthly Key Performance Indicators (Divisional/Functional and Global) to report the evaluation results
  
• Participate and contribute in the regular meetings with various partners to share key issues, understand changing risk landscape, generate consensus on new processes, etc. Participate and contribute in the regular meetings with various partners to share key issues, understand changing risk landscape, generate consensus on new processes, etc.

Your skills and experience

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• Qualified CA with 10 + years of proven Post Qualification Experience
• Investment banking industry knowledge, including Investment Banking financial product experience
• Internal audit or process review experience, preferably from Big 4
• Financial Control background in the Investment Banking industry
• Ability to manage conflicting and difficult situations
• Ability to multi-task in a complex environment
• Ability to meet strict targets and deadlines
