Job / Role Purpose

The Projects & Transformation Analyst will be responsible to support program of change, working with sponsors and stakeholders to define objectives, new processes and systems, implementation etc. You will be working on data related to providing key insights and analysis to enable profitable growth, manage strategic projects, and drive business transformation across functions and lines of business.

You will be a part of a small, agile team where work is highly strategic in nature with high Leadership visibility and impact, which represents a significant opportunity to contribute, learn and grow.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation plans for the finance transformation partnering with the IT work stream to identify any issues and risks for the finance transformation
  • Support the finance project activity working closely with key stakeholders to track progress on key milestones of the required projects, identifying and coordinating any key dependencies with the stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the business to ensure key and senior stakeholders are kept up to date with project progress.

Transformation

  • Monitor the business impact of strategic initiatives (e.g. revenue, market share) measuring the impact and status of initiatives across the region
  • Support Initiative Owners accountable for their deliverables/outcomes, including financial impact/contribution, and coach them across multiple aspects – project scope, budget, schedule, resources, business cases, change management

Projects

  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive business strategies that will drive profitable growth
  • Analyze simultaneously multiple strategic initiatives for the region – from opportunity identification, prioritization, diagnostic, design, pilot, implementation, and impact measurement

Business Intelligence

  • Proactively identify and evaluate key strategic trends, opportunities & risks for areas in which business intelligence efforts can add business value
  • Translate business information (qualitative and quantitative, internal, and external) into high-quality insights in a timely manner to enable business decision-making
  • Tackle abstract issues and solve complex problems with a structured data-driven approach and innovative mindset in a fast-paced environment
  • Build models and assumptions to account for missing data to draw conclusions and provide recommendations

Accounting & Controls:

  • Responsible for review and amendments of finance policies and processes as needed.
  • Analyse internal controls, implement policies and processes required to increase control

Required skills and knowledge for the role

  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills (verbal, written, and listening) for a variety of audiences, with the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders and senior Leadership team
  • Proven track record in research capabilities, data analysis, drawing and synthesizing insights, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to multitask, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • High-energy, passionate, with a proven track record of delivering results and high resilience in a challenging environment
  • Willing to challenge others and be challenged
  • Should be able to work with minimal direction and supervision

Knowledge / Technical Skills

  • System implementation or Finance transformation experience desirable
  • Excellent presentation and PowerPoint and MS Excel skills
  • Current IFRS/GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of financial concepts

Education / Work experience

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA in Finance or Accounting is a plus
  • Experience in a multicultural / multi-national workplace
  • Member of a recognized accounting body (CPA, CA, ACCA, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services organization
  • Demonstrated experience in business transformations, strategic plans and large-scale IT implementation projects
