Group Finance Specialist with IFRS

1.Job purpose

We’re scouting for IFRS reporting geeks who want to expand their reach within the finance function and beyond. Join us to leave your mark on the financial reporting, accounting practices and processes of Agricover Group and its subsidiaries. Develop your skills in three high growth industries – Agriculture, IT and Financial Services. Liaise with important international and local stakeholders, including the capital markets or large financial institutions.

2.Your main responsibilities:

  • Act as IFRS Group Specialist - responsible for the analysis and establishment of complex IFRS policies; act as a trainer on IFRS updates and also participate at the annual professional development cycle; active participation in IFRS implementation processes and / or specific modifications of accounting policies or practices;
  • Significant contribution in managing the relationship with the external auditor;
  • Partake in the setting of the accounting group policies through analyses, updates and group-wide  alignment;
  • Significant contribution in the process of preparing the IFRS financial statements;
  • Support in the establishment of fiscal treatments within the Group;
  • Partake in the financial analysis and on-demand reports and leave your mark on the successful conclusion of relevant corporate events;
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting obligations assumed by the Group;
  • Active support in the cycle of analysis and improvement of financial processes - e.g. identifies automation opportunities; involved in defining related business requirements, monitor, coordinate and validate implementation.

3.Hierarchical and functional relationships

  • Reports to Group CFO
  • Cooperates with the Finance departments of the Group's subsidiaries.

4.To succeed in this role you need:

  • 3+ years’ relevant IFRS experience;
  • A keen eye for details;
  • Proactive problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in writing technical accounting papers would be a plus;
  • Effective communication and business writing skills;
  • Fluent English.
