There are no essential qualifications for the role however if you are wanting to start the apprenticeship at level 3 you must have already completed Level 2 AAT.
Future prospects
Longer term opportunities including further development of HMRC plans in adopting making tax digital.
After you have completed one level you may have the oppoortunity to work your way up the levels.
Things to consider
Manningtons are happy to accept applications from applicants wishing to complete the Level 2 Accounts-Finance Assistant Apprenticeship and the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship. The successful applicant will start off working as an employee until they are signed up as an apprentice in summer 2022. You will be working as a non-apprentice until this date.
Some of the key tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Bookkeeping
- VAT compliance
- VAT returns
- Preparation of accounts
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Learning about the business
- Learning aboutcommercial law that may have an impact when working in accountancy, such as contracts, data protection or Anti Money Laundering
- Learning to use accounting systems
- Producing routine accounting reports.
