We are looking for a Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Officer to join our Compliance team! We can offer hybrid working for this role with 3 days in the office in Enderby, Leicestershire and the remainder of the week working remotely.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with at least 2 years experience of working in a Compliance Assurance or Audit setting, experience of working in a FCA/ PRA regulated form and someone who has a good understanding of the FCA and GDPR UK regulations.

About the role:
- Complete assigned Thematic Reviews and Control Tests in line with the Compliance Monitoring Programme
- Engage with the Compliance Advisory and Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance teams to understand the regulatory scope of reviews
- Plan and evaluate the scope for Thematic Reviews and Control Tests
- Complete testing against FCA and UK GDPR regulations and internal policies and procedures
- Complete design and effectiveness testing of business Controls
- Engage with the business pre and post testing to verify findings and actions
- Write reports which includes a presentation of results, the rationale for findings and a reporting rating
- Track the businesses remedial actions through to completion
- Support the business with documenting Controls and Issues into the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) system
- Complete monthly QCA for the first line of defence
- Send remediation forms to provide feedback to the first line of defence
- Track remediation forms through to completion
- Attend monthly calibration sessions with the first line of defence
- Support the completion of MI and Reporting for the Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Manager
- Complete High Risk Monitoring requests submitted by the business
- Assist the Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Manager in keeping standards and templates up to date
- Complete projects to support the Compliance Department
Criteria:
About you:
- Experience of working in a FCA/PRA regulated firm
- Understanding of the FCA and UK GDPR regulations
- Minimum of 2 years experience of working in an Compliance Assurance or Audit setting
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management framework
- Basic understanding of Information Security
- Strong stakeholder management
- Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging and dynamic environment
- Ability to practically apply an approach to Compliance in a form and style that is appropriate to the business
- Ability to prioritise and plan against strict deadlines
- Ability to constructively challenge and question
- Ability to use root cause analysis of findings in order to create effective solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarise at a high level as well as in finer detail while being clear and concise
Qualifications Preferred but not essential:
- ICA Certification in Compliance or equivalent professional qualification
