Job Description

Within JPMorgan Chase, Merchant Services is a leading provider of merchant services, offering proprietary platforms that enable integrated solutions for all payment types, including credit, debit, prepaid stored value and electronic check processing as well as digital, alternative and mobile payment options.

Inside the Merchant Services Production Management team, we have a leadership opening for an individual contributor to lead our process improvement agenda.

Position Summary

Individual will continually measure the performance of the service provider and design improvements to processes, services, and infrastructure in order to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.

The Continual Service Improvement (CSI) Manager will continually measure the performance of the service provider and design improvements to processes, services, and infrastructure in order to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.

Continual Service Improvement (CSI) uses a metrics-driven approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and to measure the impact of improvement efforts. CSI can be effective only if it is integrated throughout the lifecycle, creating a culture of continual improvement.

CSI should ensure that all participants in service delivery understand that identifying opportunities for improvement is their responsibility.

An important task for CSI is to identify which metrics out of the thousands are impacting production stability and should be monitored. This is done by identifying, for each service or process, what the critical success factors (CSFs) are. CSFs must be present if a process or service is to succeed.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Since this function support the Merchant services technology the candidate should have extensive knowledge in any of merchant services/payment system suit of applications maintenance lifecycle including monitoring, deployment & governance.
• Being an individual contributor, the candidate should be influential enough to work with different team and able to achieve common goal of platform stability.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to influence and lead others.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex technical solutions which requires buying from various stakeholders ( include Sr. management)
• Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
• Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
• Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
• 10+ year of industry experience
• Ideally ITIL V4 foundation certified, Good to have certification in any of 5 module of ITIL intermediate or PMP certified.
• Self-Starter with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and skilled in problem solving and decision making.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to interact with individuals on all organizational levels. Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and attention to detail in a fast paced ever changing environment.
• Able to work under pressure to resolve issues affecting the production services.
• Working knowledge of UNIX, Stratus, Tandem and operating system functionality will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and log analysis tools such as ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
