The opportunity

We are seeking Senior Consultants to join our Assurance Digital team to continue to build our analytics capabilities for our digital audit and innovation initiatives. You will be using your data analytics and ETL capabilities to support external financial audits, whilst also working with the wider assurance digital team to build new solutions and transform existing capabilities. Positions available in Sydney or Melbourne (other locations will be considered).

Your key responsibilities
  • Helping clients to identify and extract required data from complex IT systems including SAP and Oracle
  • Coach junior staff and be first point of contact for your projects
  • Using analytical and visualisation software to access, transform, integrate, analyse and visualise client data to help solve real problems and identify real opportunities through identification of anomalies and unusual patterns and trends in data
  • Delivering results by using automated data analytic solutions to deal with large, disparate volumes of data, to gain critical insights quickly
  • Assisting in the development of additional analytic capabilities within the Assurance Digital team

We are looking for people with a mix of Business, Accounting and Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) skills.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Ability to coach junior staff and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and work within a team environment
  • Experience with using Alteryx, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft PowerBI, Python, Monarch, Spotfire, Tableau or Qlik to access, transform, integrate, analyse and visualise data

Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Experience in a professional services firm (however not essential)
  • Experience in RPA development using tools such as Blue Prism is a plus
