Management Trainee Officer (MTO)

Job / Position Description:

Designation: Management Trainee Officer

Department: Costing

Reports To: Cost Accountant/Manager

Job Purpose

The role will assist company by overseeing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization and provide remedial actions.

Major Accountabilities

• Developing and analyzing cost standards.
• Establishing costs of business processes.
• Performing account reconciliations.
• Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to Management and immediate supervisor.
• Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost.
• Advising immediate supervisor and top management on appropriate costing based on financial data.
• Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
• Any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Ideal Background (State the preferred education and experience level)

• Education: Part Qualified ICMA
• Experience: Fresh with internship experience

Capabilities & Other Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of costing (i.e. Manufacturing processes)
• Ability to create reports, provide analysis and recommendations to improve productivity & efficiency
• Strong Communication skills– both written and verbal – English.
• Planning, scheduling and reporting strengths
• Builds & maintains effective working relationships with peers, team members & others.
• Works in a collaborative way with others with good communication skills
