Management Accountant - Contract Glanbia Ingredients Ireland is Ireland's largest dairy company, annually processing over 2 billion litres of milk into a uniquely broad range of ingredients for export to more than 60 countries. We supply leading multinational food and nutrition companies - across a range of sectors from branded cheese and butter through to infant formula, sports, affordable and clinical nutrition for both developed and developing markets. A contract vacancy has arisen for the position of Management Accountant within our Ballyragget team. Reporting into the Ballyragget Financial Controller, this role is responsible for providing support to the management reporting process for the Ballyragget site, providing business partnering services to cost centre managers, in addition to the management of key aspects of the site operational KPI reporting process. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of overhead cost reporting and controls for the Ballyragget site, including monthly reporting versus plan, the collation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and investigation and analysis of overhead variances. Conduct monthly overhead cost reviews with responsible department managers to include the reporting of site usage / efficiencies in the areas of Payroll, Energy, Chemical usage, etc. Issue cost reports to cost center managers, indicating performance issues versus plan where relevant, proactively documenting key actions to resolve issues as relevant. Prepare the weekly production KPIs in addition to other supplementary weekly operational schedules for the site operations leadership team. Support the performance management process, providing robust challenge and business partnering to plant management on a weekly basis. Track specific performance improvement initiatives set out for the business. Support the ongoing risk management process on site by ensuring adherence to financial controls, challenging risks as they are identified and proposing and implementing new controls as required. Role Requirements Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing organisation. Attention to detail & accuracy. Structured approach. Strong commitment and ability to meet tight deadlines. Confidence to challenge managers when required. Enthusiastic, inquisitive & performance-driven approach. Strong communicator with good interpersonal and presentation skills. Advanced Excel capability needed and SAP experience would be an advantage.
