You will be a key member of the Health & Benefits team, and as the Hospital Contracting Business Analyst you will be instrumental in providing Business Intelligence support to the Hospital Team in all aspects of contracting with providers to support the goal of sustainable affordability by minimising claims risk.

You will be responsible for:-

Designing and developing innovative health funding models that incentivise providers to deliver quality cost efficient services and manage Bupa's risk, Designing and developing reporting systems to monitor and analyse claims risk, Provide data analytics to support the development of risk management strategies and industry benchmarking, Supporting Hospital Contract Managers in all aspects of negotiations, Driving and influencing necessary industry and health service delivery reform, Provide leadership and effective internal and industry stakeholder management

Your background

Ideally you will be an analyst with demonstrable success in providing business intelligence in a health contract management environment.

You will be/have:-

Hospital experience in the private hospital sector - experience in the public sector in addition to this will be viewed positively. Sound understanding of the organisational structure and operations of hospitals. Detailed knowledge and experience in application of casemix methodologies either as a hospital provider or a funder. Highly developed analytical skills for performance analysis and reporting. Critical contributor who is results orientated and driven to deliver the best results for the business. Skills to be present at the negotiation table supporting the contract manager where required. Equally you will be confident and articulate in presenting your position to the Provider. The cultural fit of the person with the Hospital Team is highly important. The individual we are seeking will be well advanced in their career in this field and be looking for a long term role. In addition to possessing advanced technical skills, the key qualities include pragmatism, the ability to identify and prioritise issues with a claims risk management approach, good people skills and an established capacity to self direct/manage their workload. The role is located in Melbourne.
