You will:

  • Work in the new U.S. Domestic Tax Eaton Vance team, integrating Eaton Vance tax compliance into Morgan Stanley
  • Collect data and generate reports from source systems
  • Prepare federal, state and local tax returns for the Firm’s U.S. legal entities
  • Prepare supporting tax documentation
  • Prepare tax accounting calculations and work papers in accordance with ASC 740
  • Collect and provide data to assist in tax provision preparation
  • Identify and work to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Perform Ad hoc duties in support of the Tax Manager and U.S. Corporate Tax team
  • Learn and implement standard processes

Team Profile:

EMEA Tax is responsible for Corporate Tax Compliance, Indirect Tax, Tax Advisory, US Tax Reporting and Global Tax Risk with offices in London, Glasgow, Frankfurt and Budapest. Glasgow members work closely with the other EMEA and NY offices, and wider Finance.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent, preferably in finance or accountancy
  • Ability to think critically and self-review
  • Strong control focus while maintaining a high level of client service
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to succeed and develop professionally and personally
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and be a team player
  • Ability to identify and implement process and efficiency improvements
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Confident working with colleagues in worldwide business locations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial systems
