Job description

Payroll Analyst, People Advisory Services (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Dallas, TX.

Advise on payroll best practices and payroll service delivery models, supporting clients’ global payroll challenges, issues and complex requirements. Manage the preparation, processing and administration of payroll-related project activities to help improve and reduce the cost and risks of payroll operations, including global payroll advisory, payroll technology solution support and payroll transformation. Work on payroll solution vendor assessment, selection and implementation, advising on global payroll operating models and leading payroll transformation activities in support of broader business initiatives and overall business strategy. Identify payroll improvement initiatives and efficiency opportunities to enhance payroll quality and adherence to internal controls while reducing overall risk. Support and deliver seamless transition during payroll solution implementations and transformations. Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for payroll transformation and payroll operational improvement initiatives and/or decisions. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Human Resources, MIS (business perspective), Statistics, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience; or a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Human Resources, MIS (business perspective), Statistics, or related field and 4 years of related work experience.
  • Must have 4 years of payroll consulting experience at a mid-sized/regional to large-sized national professional services or consulting firm, including helping clients select HR technology vendors, such as ADP, Core HR, PeopleSoft/Oracle, SAP, or Workday.
  • Must have 4 years of project management experience with global or multi-national payroll projects, including budget and scope management.
  • Must have 4 years of experience defining global payroll strategy, requirements, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing payroll solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Must have 4 years of experience with corporate, regional, multi-country and global payroll service delivery models.
  • Must have 4 years of experience with technology solutions including reports, strategies, assessments, and process designs, considering risk.
  • Must have 4 years of experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with human capital and/or payroll analytics.
  • Must have 2 years of experience delivering written and oral presentations to existing and potential clients on payroll transformation and payroll operational improvement initiatives.
  • Must have 1 year of experience supervising a team of junior consulting professionals.
  • Travel required up to 70%, of which 10% may be international, to serve client needs.
