The role will be primarily focused on monthly reporting of treasury centres, ensuring that you report accurately from the transactions in the company's treasury systems to finance systems both internally and externally.

Client Details

My client is an EMEA global advertising company with over 5000 clients in over 70 different countries around the world. Their treasury team based in the City of London is continuing to grow and require a part-qualified Accountant to join their treasury team and assist them in their growth.

Description

The successful Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Responsibility for P&L and Balance Sheet reporting for treasury centres including all journals with documented support and analysis for treasury system (Quantum) and finance system (Great Plains).
  • Ensuring integrity of reported investment and loan balances and associated interest rate calculations.
  • Month end reconciliation of accounts.
  • FX commissions reporting.
  • Audit and general queries investigation and/or resolution.
  • New reporting accounts creation and verification of requirement.
  • New statement access for agencies.
  • Preparation of monthly compliance schedules which could include working in Sarbanes Oxley or treasury sign-off platforms.
  • Responsibility for cash variance reporting.
  • Cash Variance analysis and follow up.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required.

Profile

  • Ideally part qualified accountant and actively working towards completion of qualification.
  • Flexible and adaptable - able to use own initiative.
  • Self-starter and with a strong eye for detail with ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player mentality and ability to work effectively in small groups.
  • Organised and proactive with a 'can do' attitude/ownership mindset.
  • Strong organisational and detail-oriented skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and to follow through on delegated projects to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office skills - Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
