GL Accountant (Korean Speaking)

About the company

Our client is a consumer start-up that is rapidly scaling across APAC and they are looking for a GL Accountant to join them. This is a newly created role due to business expansion.

About the job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for monthly and yearly closing of financial accounts for the APAC region and specifically for the Korea market. You will also be handling GL entries, accounts payables, verifying expense claims and support statutory and tax filing requirements. In addition you will be involved in adhoc projects such as setting up new accounting systems and other system improvement processes/initiatives. The ideal candidate is one who is proactive with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fluid and unstructured environment.

Skills and experience required

A recognised degree in accounting or relevant with at least 1 year or more of accounting experience. Proficiency in the korean language is a must to liaise with korean stakeholders.
