Assistant Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES Estate Financial Accounting Management: Invoicing service charge and insurance to tenants in a timely manner. Preparation of Balancing charges/credits to tenants. Credit Control - this is a key element of this role and the ideal candidate must have previous experience in credit control - The position will require a persistent attitude to the debt collection process and an excellent phone manner. Recording Purchases and Payments to suppliers and Creditor Reconciliations. Reporting to and liaising with clients on a regular basis Bank Reconciliations. Preparing month-end reports for the Estate Manager monitoring performance versus budget and ensuring all estates are properly funded at all times. Monthly Client Account Reconciliations and compliance with all PSRA requirements. Issuing customer invoices and managing the process of income collection from billing to collection. Preparation of payment runs making all payment to subcontractors and suppliers. Reconciliation of all debtor and creditor's accounts and following up on all debtor and creditor related queries in a timely and professional manner. Daily monitoring of all bank positions including monthly bank reconciliations. 1 Payroll (weekly) and other transactional level duties as required Assisting with year-end audits. THE CANDIDATE In pursuit of a professional accounting qualification Strong financial and transactional experience in a structured professional environment. Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills. Organised and efficient time management. Strict attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Self-starter with a desire to succeed. Salary dependent on experience.
