About the role
The Systems Assurance Manager leads the development and implementation of program wide systems engineering and systems assurance framework across Level Crossing Removal Project program of works. This position is responsible for the management and governance on LXRP projects ensuring specification of LXRP's project requirements and their progressive and objective demonstration of compliance. The role provides leadership support to LXRP development teams, LXRP projects teams and delivery partners to deliver high quality deliverables that meet the LXRP objectives including the requirements of the Rail Franchisee's Safety Accreditation processes.

The Systems Assurance Manager leads the development and implementation of program wide systems engineering and systems assurance framework across Level Crossing Removal Project program of works. This position is responsible for the management and governance on LXRP projects ensuring specification of LXRP's project requirements and their progressive and objective demonstration of compliance. The role provides leadership support to LXRP development teams, LXRP projects teams and delivery partners to deliver high quality deliverables that meet the LXRP objectives including the requirements of the Rail Franchisee's Safety Accreditation processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Mentoring and developing your multidisciplinary team
- Managing the development and implementation of LXRP's program wide systems engineering, systems assurance, system safety assurance, quality and RAMS frameworks, plans, processes and tools
- Driving an integrated approach to development, delivery and completions using lean systems engineering and systems assurance practices across the program
- Liaising with key stakeholders including DOT and the Rail Operators relating to the development of complex client and project requirements and assurance frameworks and processes
- Providing specialist advice and support to LXRP Project Teams resolving assessing and resolving external project interfaces relating to project requirements, system safety assurance and RAMS
About you
We are looking for someone that has:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering or relevant field (mandatory)
- Knowledge of the Victorian rail network (desirable)
- Extensive leadership experience in systems engineering and systems assurance roles for modern metro rail systems is essential
- Extensive experience of rail operations, system safety, RAMS and Rail Safety National Law application
- Demonstrated ability in achieving an integrated approach to development and delivery using fit for purpose systems engineering and systems assurance practices
