The previous Finance Manager has been promoted, her second promotion in less that 3 years, and members of staff below this role have been there for 20-30 years.

You'll be stepping into a hands-on, autonomous role where you will be able to work how you want to, to get the job done. You'll be able to grow and develop.

If you've not managed staff before, that's okay as the team knows what they're doing, instead, you'll support and guide them. This is your chance to gain staff management experience that will be vital for your continued progression.

You'll be able to work three days in the office and two days from home.

What you'll do

You'll work within the internal accounts side of the team who deal with employee costs such as bonuses and expenses.

You'll manage your team of up to three Accountants and Accounts Assistants, to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.

You'll deliver compliance of internal and external accounting policies and procedures, as directed by the Senior Finance Manager.

And report on complex technical data to be understood by business stakeholders.

What you'll need

You'll have a recognised Accountancy qualification and a minimum of 1-3 years of post-qualification experience.

Experience in operating financial controls within a large and complex business is essential.

You'll have excellent current knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP standards.

This company uses an internal system but if you've used Oracle, SAP or Sage before, you'll be able to pick this up quickly.

You'll have excellent communication, time management and technical skills.

And you'll love to lead, with previous experience of managing a team.
