A leading family fund is looking for a new COO/CFO to work directly with the principals on overseeing all international fund activity. The family fund has various fund structures with diverse investment strategy ranging from a new company incubator to growth to venture investments. In this role, you will oversee accounting, finance, operations and legal. Together with the investment directors you will set and implement the operational strategy. The various funds are run by an operational director, supported by accountants, so you will oversee the London team to help run things smoothly. Strong leadership are required for this role, with a great sense of entrepreneurship, mature interpersonal skills, a broad experience in team management, good project management skills and hands-on problem-solving approach. The right candidate has experience of working in a similar entrepreneurial environment as well as a background of working in a more structured, process-driven environment in order to bring in best practices from both areas. You will also have a good knowledge of legal documentations, and preferably an affinity or background in finance, accounting or tax. Having developed expert knowledge of either business operations, accounting or finance would be a plus. This full-time, permanent role will have a competitive salary of 100-120k p.a. + attractive carry in the part of the fund structure for a long-term upside.

TASKS

*Ensure everyone in the team is performing to the best of their ability and meets the challenging deadlines on the projects
*Get involved in the business under fund management, including working on hiring and business plans, operational oversight and more.
*Oversee the creation of a new business incubator and help set up the strategy, operations and financial plan for this
*Work together with the accountants and operations directors to ensure effective corporate structuring to increase tax efficiency, limit liability etc.
*Oversee the legal and compliance teams and sign off on final agreements and commercial terms
*Setting up the recruitment strategy and managing and developing human resource policies
*Overseeing, monitoring and improving operations across all funds
