About the opportunity

As the Senior Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for managing components of the end-to-end strategic planning process for Bupa Australia & New Zealand (A&NZ), development of strategic plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and preparation for key strategic workshops and forums. The role will also be critical in assisting Business Units with aligning and delivering their individual strategic objectives, as well as supporting and leading components of assessing growth and business development opportunities across A&NZ, aligned with global and local ambitions. Other responsibilities include:

• Contributing to and leading components of the strategic planning process
• Contributing to, and leading components of the A&NZ growth strategy; identifying, assessing, and driving alignment across the business to new growth opportunities.
• Ensuring execution is aligned with strategic direction, through collaboration with the business to influence day-to-day work
• Working closely with the Head of Strategy, you will also be responsible for writing local and global board papers, preparation of presentations for the executive team and development of materials for board strategy discussions.

Your background

• Demonstrated experience in a comparable role that leverages your skills including; developing and driving strategic change, influencing diverse stakeholders, introducing and applying new thinking
• Experience working in a changing, often ambiguous environment, with an ability to make prompt, clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to solve complex problems
• A track record in building effective relationships both internally and externally
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  A background in the health care sector is not mandatory but would be favourably considered.
