Overall expectations:
  • Chip in to the ongoing design and implementation of governance and control standards
  • Cultivate positive relationships with other functions to promote consistency and collaboration, as well as be a model for positive cultural change
  • Identify areas of improvement to help understand and resolve issues, delays, and gaps related to regulatory expectations and execution of associated capabilities
  • Establish documentation to ensure standardization, quality, consistency, traceability and adherence to firm-wide standards and regulatory expectations
Change Assurance:
  • Monitor and assist in assessing internal change impacts, particularly change delivery programs and policies
  • Support production of monthly reporting material
  • Support trend analysis and identification of common themes
Regulatory Assessments:
  • Report and maintain status against all in-scope supervisory expectations/requirements with effective change control
  • Ensure that assessment results enforce to high internal standards for consistency, completeness and accuracy and would withstand high regulatory scrutiny
  • Collaborate with functional areas to ensure gaps are resolved according to schedule; identify, understand and challenge delays
  • Automate tracking and reporting processes where possible
  • Produce and enhance regular MI for senior management and regulators
Issue Monitoring:
  • Report and maintain status against all actions/issues arising from Regulatory and Internal Audit feedback, including maintenance of data quality and change control
  • Automate tracking and reporting processes where possible
  • Coordinate with the Internal Audit team to ensure consistency and data quality for tracking, as well as assist with information requests / reports as needed
  • Support production of monthly reporting material
  • Support trend analysis and identification of common themes

Your skills and experience

Generally looking for candidates that have the following skills/experience:

  • Ability to collaborate and influence others to improve overall results and work products
  • Able to drive initiatives independently while working in team to achieve goals
  • Risk or regulatory experience, or business transformation and program delivery experience (e.g. Risk and Regulatory implementation, Finance Transformation, IT Transformation) are desirable
  • MIS reporting for presentation to senior management
  • Proven Microsoft Office skills with a high level of technical proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate optimally at all levels and influence others and champion meetings
  • Ability to work under defined time lines and fast paced environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint is desirable
