Reconciliations Accountant

We are working with a successful business in Liverpool to recruit a Reconciliations Accountant.

Description

As Reconciliations Accountant, you will play an integral role within the accountancy department and take ownership of the integrity of the balance sheet. Duties include:

• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Stock reconciliations and investigate and resolve any differences
• Attend month stock meetings and ensure compliance with internal audit recommendations
• Assist with year end stock take
• Carry out monthly invoice control account reconciliations, with investigation and resolution of any differences
• Assist with provisions reconciliations
• Authorising payments and expenses when required
• Assist with year end audit process
• Support and play a key role in transitioning to the new accounting system

Profile

You will be a self starter with strong financial accounting experience, ideally with a strong reconciliation background. We also need someone who is:

• Experienced in reconciliations within a high volume environment
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Be able to work in a team and contribute to its success
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable to change and have a can do attitude
• Part qualified / Qualified by experience will also be considered
