We’re currently looking for a Head of Education Eastern Portfolio on a fixed term basis (24 Months).  This position sits within the Education Emerging Markets Team who are based in Warsaw. Regular domestic and international travel will be required.

The job

Reporting to the Head of Education, Eurasia & New Markets, with a dotted line report to the Interim Director, Eurasia & New Market. The Head of Education Eastern Portfolio supports the growth ambition needs in relation to effective and efficient student recruitment as well as their conversion and retention in Eastern Portfolio which comprises of 3 clusters, Poland and RMMs, Czech Republic and RMMs and Romania and RMMs. In consultation with the Head of Education Eurasia & New Markets, the Head of Education will be responsible for devising strategies, plans and their implementation. Such strategies will include working with the broad range of ACCA education providers including universities and colleges, overseeing and leading activities to increase the quality of tuition provision and to improve student performance in exams, supporting student to member conversion initiatives and leading on high level relationships management with strategically important, regional education providers. The Head of Education also ensures that ACCA becomes a recognised part of the respective national education and qualification frameworks.

The person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Strong academic background, including good class of a relevant degree and a professional accountancy qualification, or equivalent,
  • Demonstrable, proven management skills to manage a team of professionally qualified people through a period of rapid change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts including those working at partner level in accounting practice or professors in academia.
  • The ability to deal effectively with large volumes of work to strict deadlines by having a well organised, logical and methodical approach.
  • Experience of working in an educational environment essential in order to have a clear understanding of the purpose of the qualification.
