Our client is quickly emerging as a market leader in a niche food manufacturing area and has placed itself strategically to take advantage of current market trends. As a result of them recently adding to their blue chip customer base, they are poised for the next chapter of their growth. The Cost Accountant role will help to facilitate that growth and will play a pivotal role in their success. As the company grows so will the role and responsibilities making this an enviable long term opportunity.
Your role as Cost Accountant will give you a broad range of experience to the manufacturing operations and will involve you working with all levels of management across the company. You will be responsible for providing the costing and analysis around new and existing product lines, raw materials costing, time costing as well as improving factory processes and labour efficiency.
Operating as a key member of a growing team, which is set to expand as the company grows, you will work closely with Senior Managers to help improve the companies results. Your analysis will have a big influence on decision making. This position reports directly to the CFO, who is well tenured in the business and has a very supportive team orientated management style.
To be considered for this role you will have previous experience in manufacturing and costing. Although qualifications aren’t essential in this area, being CIMA, ACCA or CPA qualified would be advantageous.
You must be commercially minded and be a confident communicator who is happy to work in a changing environment. It is important that you have a high level of ambition and that you are keen to take advantage of opportunities for progression.
