Our partner uses music to empower and unlock the potential of people with severe and profound learning disabilities. Their multi-sensory music-making techniques help to stimulate communication, learning and self-expression.
They are looking to appoint a Treasurer to oversee the financial affairs of the charity. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and Business Manager to ensure the organisation is financially stable, well-run and compliant.
The Treasurer does not need to have previous Trustee experience, as training is available, but they will need to have some familiarity with charity finance requirements, a good working knowledge of QuickBooks and at least five years’ accounting experience.
The board meets four times a year, for two-hour evening meetings, as well as for one ‘Away Day’. Meetings are currently held remotely, but will resume in Oxford post pandemic (remote attendance will remain an option). As Treasurer you will also liaise with the Finance Manager and Operations/Business Manager on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
Please note that this is a voluntary position and therefore unremunerated.
