Job Description

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be employed as a Fund Controller in the Global Operations team. The role encompasses Fund Accounting, Investor Reporting, Data Management oversight and Liquidity Management. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of Alternative Credit, especially Structured Credit products, be well versed in Accounting principles, have extensive experience in Performance Return calculations. Knowledge of Closed Ended Funds is also advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fund Accounting – overseeing production of Alcentra NAVs, monitoring Balance Sheets, PLs and Hedging efficiency
  • Investor & Portfolio Performance Returns – including IRRs, MOICs & Attribution
  • Calculations – overseeing Management and Performance fees,
  • Data – ensuring accuracy of data in the Front Office Systems and Data Warehouse
  • Reporting- Regulatory and Investor Reporting
  • Audit - oversight and sign off of Fund Audits
  • Liquidity – managing cash using bridge facility, capital calls and distributions
  • FX – monitoring FX exposure and preparing FX hedging packs for execution

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA/ ACCA/ CIMA
  • Strong mathematical skills as well as proficiency in Excel is essential
  • Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts, ideas and processes
  • The candidate must be a strong team player, but also work with a fair degree of autonomy and take responsibility & ownership of their work
