About the role

As a Payroll Officer you will be responsible for ensuring payroll is accurate, compliant and paid in accordance with payroll calendars for the business. This is a great opportunity to work in an exciting and fast-growing industry.

Each day may be different, but your core responsibilities will likely include:
  • Processing payroll accurately and on time as per payroll calendars
  • Processing transactions in relation to superannuation, deductions, salary sacrificing arrangements for staff, paid Company & Govt Parental leave payments
  • Calculating and processing termination, redundancy, backpays where required under Legislative employment requirements
  • Responding to any payroll queries from employees
  • Completion of monthly, and year end reporting requirements
What you'll bring

A 4 month contract opportunity is available for an experienced payroll officer with great attention to detail and ability to work independently. To do well in this role, you may have:
  • 4+ years in processing payrolls
  • Previous experience using Technology One HRP software
  • Healthcare industry experience, or a demonstrated understanding of the Healthcare Awards and Agreements
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect of PAYG, FBT and payroll tax
  • Good understanding of Industrial Award/Enterprise Agreements and understanding of employment legislation and compliance requirements
