My client, one of the largest property companies in the UK, are currently looking to recruit a temporary Finance Manager to join their office in the centre of Leeds.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for managing multiple projects and deadlines, whilst delivering effective solutions for operational issues.
It's an extremely varied Finance Manager position, at the heart of the business, and offers the opportunity to really progress a finance career. The role is for an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in the production of the monthly Board Report by providing commentary and analysis for relevant areas
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for Management and Exec
- Responsible for carrying out and overseeing regular process reviews, including end-to-end processing of property transactions.
- Accounting for various complex transactional areas e.g. VAT bad debt relief.
- Balance sheet reconciliation production and review of those produced by more junior members of the team.
- Preparation and development of reports and dashboards for the team for operational use as well as reporting.
- Responsible for updating details of tenants in administration/liquidation by liaison with external parties and review of online information
- Provide support and cover for senior individuals in the team.
- Provide coaching and development for more junior members of the team.
- Dealing with statutory account queries from PWC and tax.
- Assist with other ad hoc queries or requirements that may arise
The ideal candidate will be:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Prior property experience highly desirable
- Technically strong, with good knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience using JD Edwards helpful but not essential
- A self starter, with a proactive nature
