Your field of responsibility
This role requires someone with drive and determination to manage and take ownership of their area, investigate any issues, produce monthly balance sheet reports and get involved in managing any project work when required. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with an inquisitive mind and outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
This includes:
- Producing monthly balance sheet reports.
- Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating that differences between the sub-ledger and general ledger, are resolved.
- Managing and ensuring nostro breaks are cleared on a timely basis.
- Posting journal reclass.
- Writing of residual balances on a monthly basis.

Currently there is one experienced member of the bank charges team and they are within a team of 4 including the team lead who is responsible for Bank charges, Brokerage, clearing and exchange balance sheet control. The Bank charges balance sheet controller will require the following:
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience of monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
- Accounting knowledge and any accounts qualification would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in producing monthly payables reports.
- Proven knowledge of Excalibur (sub ledger), peoplesoft (general ledger) and Intellimatch (statement reconciliations system) would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in working for an investment bank would be an advantage.
