About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists for two Senior Business Analysts to join Victoria Police's Financial Sustainability Program Office (FSPO). The FSPO sits within the Investment Management and Reporting Department and supports the delivery of strategies that enhance financial sustainability in the organisation. The Senior Business Analysts will provide specialist advice and solutions relating to the overall work program. Working in a dynamic and high-performing team environment, the roles will support the broader Financial Sustainability leadership team.

Your duties will include:
  • Performing in-depth analysis, determining requirements and helping to define and validate business needs.
  • Presenting and explaining complex information in a way that can be readily understood by different audiences.
  • Creating project plans, presentations and strategy papers that outline options for decisions, updating status reports and writing submissions that cover reporting obligations.
  • Conducting meetings and facilitating workshops to ensure effective stakeholder engagement, requirement gathering, analysis and quality project delivery.
  • Monitoring interdependencies within the program and influences in the external environment.
  • Actively participating in risk and issues management.
  • Undertaking other tasks as required.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills.
  • High level communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Visio.
  • A relevant qualification and/or accreditation.
Requirements and relevant information:
  • Two positions available, located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction - COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
