As an auditor your role is to act independently, and with integrity, providing business advice to our clients so they can confidently do what is right and make the best decisions for the future. The constantly evolving landscape calls for an approach that puts what is right first, and you will need to push ideas harder and ask difficult questions, giving our clients the assurance they need.

Public Sector Audit is a specialist team with over 300 members across the UK. As part of the team, you'll be working with public bodies, government departments and national services, working to understand the issues they are facing, giving you a real opportunity to make a difference. There will be challenges along the way, but you'll be supported and able to meet each one with a solution. That's how you excel here.

A look into your future

Our fixed term programme will run from February to September 2022 and is designed give you an insight into what you can expect from a graduate role in Public Sector Audit. Here's a glimpse of what you'll experience during your time:

• Hands on experience in the different aspects of audit, with a variety of clients, from NHS trusts to fire departments and Government bodies
• You'll get experience working on all kinds of projects that range from a few days to up to eight weeks with work including examining financial records or carrying out audit tests
• Responsibility and the opportunity to take ownership for interesting and challenging client work
• You'll develop a strong internal and external network to learn from
• Working closely with colleagues to provide robust challenge and market leading insights to help clients meet their regulatory needs and business objectives

If the placement goes well, there may be potential to move onto a trainee graduate programme in Autumn 2022. Whether you move onto a permanent programme at the end or not, this opportunity will give you great insight and experience into the world of accountancy and Public Sector Audit.
