CIB Operations - Global Clearing Operations (Treasury Ops) - Analyst

The cash/funding group's primary responsibility is to ensure that Exchange margin requirement is met accurately and promptly. JP Morgan is a clearing member for most of the Exchanges Globally.

This role is focused upon Derivative Exchanges globally. It is helpful that the candidate has some knowledge of the majority of these markets. The Singapore Regional Operations Centre (ROC) will be JP Morgan's preferred hub for a wide range of operational support for our listed derivatives business. Any candidate should have some understanding of the funding requirements and cutoffs.

As part of the role, there is an opportunity to be exposed to the latest automation tools and FINTECH development, and the candidate should embrace these new tools to improve the delivery of the process. This role also provides the opportunity to support the Global Clearing Business to onboard new exchanges to expand our client offerings.

• The incumbent should have some knowledge of the products and the exchange rules covered by the team and is aware of the functions of the global business
• The incumbent is expected to act as a point of contact for the group from ASIAPAC strategic standpoint.
• All funding requirements/margin calls are processed accurately and promptly both at the exchange and within the internal clearing system
• All FX for restricted currencies are performed accurately and timely
• He/she should be aware of the appropriate escalation procedures when issues are raised
• He/she reviews and checks production output from a control aspect
• Processes are reviewed regularly and where possible make suggestions for greater efficiency and control improvement
• All procedures are kept up to date and easily accessible
• Any ad hoc requests/queries of the team are dealt with in an appropriate manner
• He/she keeps up to date with the latest automation tools and deploys them where applicable

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the financial industry is preferred
• Prior experience in banking operations is preferred
• F&O Knowledge - (some Market & Product Knowledge for ASPAC markets would be advantageous)
• Excellent Client focus and Customer care working practices
• Flexible attitude towards working hours due to the demands of the working place
• Strong intellectual curiosity for process improvements
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
• Strong time management skills required to meet the many internal and external deadlines
• Good PC skills
• Excellent attention to detail
