FP&A Accountant

About this job

We’re looking for a highly motivated and reliable FP&A Accountant to join our global FP&A team. Candidates are sought who are highly motivated, with a strong accounting and analytical background and eager to continuously learn and improve their skills. Key role of the team is planning, preparation and analysis of the group’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts and quarterly financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

About the team:

The role provides the opportunity for making initial steps in the Finance business area. You are interested in the Reinsurance industry, have a proactive personality, are self-driven and are able to easily grasp new concepts. With your excellent analytical skills, an eye for details as well as the ability to excel in a challenging and fast paced environment, you will contribute to the team`s success. 

Key skills:

  • Provide analyses against budgets and previous periods, reporting of segment and line of business technical result, and effectively communicating results to internal and external stakeholders timely and accurately
  • Assist with the preparation and creation of annual technical plans and quarterly outlooks for both group and legal entities. 
  • Supporting local Legal Entities with board reporting, regulatory requirements, and any other reporting needs.
  • Assist with external and internal audits during the year
  • Maintenance of CREP (data repository) tool

About you:

You are a motivated, highly organized person with a solution-oriented mindset, enjoying collaboration as well as working on your own. 

  • Undergraduate in Business, Accounting or related field
  • Qualified Accountant with at least 1-2 years post qualified experience
  • At least 3-5 years strong analytical, organizational and reporting skills
  • Experience working in a busy environment with competing demands
  • Experience in budgeting/forecasting desirable, but not essential, with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially MS Excel
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
