Omschrijving
- Being responsible for the posting for Accounts Payable;
- Preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, notably bank statements;
- Processing various types of invoices, including participant reimbursements, after thorough checking;
- Ensuring a smooth payment process with the bank (emission, transmission);
- Maintaining and overseeing the accounts according to the defined scope of activities in a timely manner with the objective of providing information and service to users;
- Providing support to the Senior Accounting officer in producing reliable financial information on a regular basis and within reactive deadlines;
- Assisting the Senior Accounting officer with reconciling complex and aggregated accounts at high level;
- Providing support to the Senior Accounting officer in producing regular reports to external partners (in particular to the European Commission);
- Analyzing and proposing solutions for complex and/or important financial questions;
- Ensuring the respect of legal accounting obligations and contributing to their resolution;
- Ensuring a cautious and well-controlled management of assets;
- Performing quality control checks on sampled claims in accordance with delegated authority
- procedures and external partners (in particular the European Commission) requirements;
- Fulfilling other responsibilities and tasks in the interest of the organization, as mandated by the
- Head of Finance or by the COST Association Director
Profiel van kandidaat
- Great level of English - another European language is a plus
- First experience in Accounting (Min 2 years) preferably in Accounts Payable in Belgium
- Understanding of the Belgium Accounting principles
- Bachelor in Accounting
