Treasurer @ Global Bird Conservation NGO
Our partner is a global partnership of over 100 NGOs committed to mobilising lasting, sustainable protection of the world's birds and their habitats across all continents, landscapes and seascapes.
As they move into their 100th year, they are now looking for a new Treasurer to join the Council of Trustees. The Treasurer will ideally be a chartered accountant, with the financial skills and acumen to support them on the next part of their journey, as they seek to tackle effectively the underlying causes of the destruction of our planet, change our behaviour and our choices to ensure our children’s and grandchildren’s future.
The Treasurer will provide guidance and support on financial management, reporting, risk and governance, as well as providing strategic guidance and support to the CEO and Chair of Trustees. The role will require an excellent knowledge of the charity sector and significant experience of financial leadership, as well as a passion for the work of the charity.
The Council of Trustees meets twice a year, with the finance committee meeting quarterly. Currently these are all online, but they hope to resume face-to-face meetings in the latter part of 2022.
Please note that this is a voluntary position and therefore unremunerated.
