An exciting opportunity has just come up for a Credit and Collection Analyst in a growing multinational in Cork. This role is a new role within the OTC team and there is a language requirement - Italian or Greek or Turkish. The successful candidate will perform credit & collections activities for new entities coming into the business. This company is going through a period of growth so enthusiastic and ambitious candidates would work well on this team. Responsibilities: Responsible for customer credit analysis and collection activities for the company's business units. Receive, analyse and process new credit applications in line with the organisation's credit policy. Analyse customer credit profiles and exposure, compare against policy to make risk driven credit decisions and balancing business benefit with risk. Actively manage workload and escalate inefficiencies and concerns to the Order to Cash Manager Assist with the creation and modification of training programs and content (as needed) Establish customer credit limits and request relevant approval based on the latest delegation of authority Identify and communicate internally invoices in dispute and pursue for resolution Manage the collection of receivables through direct or indirect customer communication, while maintaining a professional relationship Follow-up on delinquent accounts through continuous follow-up with customers, Sales or Customer Service to obtain timely payment and/or timely dispute resolution Prepare regular analysis of the Accounts Receivables for management Analyse and interact with appropriate company personnel to resolve residuals (short-/ over-payments) Partner with the business to understand customer base, customer prioritization and customer trends that could impact credit and collection decisions. Maintain and upgrade Credit & Collections process documentation as needed. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP accounting rules along with SOX where applicable. Participate in strategic continuous improvement initiatives in the organization, achieving identified goals (financial, process or talent). Comply with Europe Financial Reporting & Accounting Group and business unit service delivery guidelines. Requirements: 2+ years relevant work experience. BA/ BS in Finance /Accounting recommended. Microsoft Office, SAP experience. Experience working in a customer focused environment. Excellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills. Self-Starter who is motivated, flexible and capable of working on own initiative. Fluency in English written and spoken.
