Senior Financial Accountant

Role
A broad and challenging Senior Financial Accountant role you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, divulging in reporting, consolidation, taxation and cash flow functions. Suited to someone with a strong technical background this role is ideal for someone looking to step up to lead direct reports and influence Senior Management as required.
The responsibilities
- Reporting to the Finance lead you will act as a key point of communication directing and driving internal processes. Other duties include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
- Responsible for general ledger.
- Fixed asset processing and reporting.
- Maintain bank accounts by requesting disbursements.
- Manage issuance of guarantees etc based on available facilities.
- Monitor reserve accounts and short-term fund investments.
- Review and reconcile bank statements.
- Research and reconcile all discrepancies related to receivables and suppliers
- Reconcile Intercompany balances
- Manage Audit and verifying documents.
- Following internal controls and ensure implementation of Finance Policy
- Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis and any other management report as may be required including comparison with budget etc.
- Forecasting on a monthly basis based on revised assumptions
- Direct supervision of a Financial Accountant
- Ensure compliance to Zakat and Tax Laws specifically Withholding Tax
- Statutory compliance
- Drive the preparation of financial reports
- Assist and drive improvements to internal operations
