Meetings with the Investment Community - IR cross-references its databases to identify the level of dissemination of information for various clients based on their respective parameters. Group, one-on-one, and conference meetings provide a critical opportunity for clients to meet with the management of the company and be updated with the crucial business, performance and financial indicators of the company.
Conference Calls - IR mandate is to prepare materials for conference calls to provide senior management the opportunity to discuss financial and corporate developments with key members of the investment community.
Coordination with Relevant Authorities: It is the IR responsibility to coordinate with the various authorities in the financial and investment community.
This comprises coordination with the Capital Market Authority, MCSD, Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges in Egypt and London Stock Exchange and Bank of New York in London and the USA. This will comprise cooperation with the legal & finance department and with the auditors.
Editorial Services - Release of financial results are prudently constructed to maximize coverage to investment community and shareholders response with adequate and consistent disclosure. Investor Facts reports provide an at-a-glance summary of each business operations, corporate history and outlook, financial performance, historical stock chart, and management team.
Web Design/Hosting - help the PR department to communicate the company's fundamental strengths and prospects. This will be positioned on IR high-traffic Internet site, which attracts a large audience of qualified investors.
Industry Coverage - Through comprehensive media tracking, the IR Officer monitors the media's coverage of each subsidiary as well as its competition and industry.
Timely Dissemination of Financial Results - the IR Officer's mandate is to ensure the timely dissemination of quarterly and annual financial results to the money market authorities and regulators. This includes Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges, Egyptian Capital Market Authority and London Stock Exchange. Also ensuring the compliance with the regulations stipulated by those authorities. This information is also disclosed to the investment community and Shareholders.
Proprietary Database Management - the IR Officer utilizes a proprietary database which contains investors, buy and sell-side analysts, brokers, market makers, and Research analysts, Underwriters that enables the company to define, build, track, and manage each of its target audience. This database is constantly updated and cleaned to ensure broader coverage for data and information.
General Information Dissemination - Timely dissemination process and strategies are the key to provide information about the company to the investment community. The IR Officer co-operates on regular basis with PR dept. to disclose information to both the investment and media communities.
