Finance Process Consultant

The opportunity

We’re looking for Consultant with expertise in expertise in FP&A, and Process Assessment assignments to join the global EY - Finance Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Additionally, this role requires experience and contributions in Finance Transformation, Finance technology enablement, Financial planning and Analysis and banking industry exposure in R2R, P2P, O2C, Performance Improvement initiatives through identification of potential opportunities and driving them through collaboration and direction.

Your key responsibilities

  • Knowledge on Financial Consolidation, Cost Allocation, Finance Planning and Budgeting Processes, preferably working experience and industry exposure in the Banking and Capital Market Sector
  • Identify improvement opportunities in FP&A processes
  • Process re-design and optimisation (AS-IS & TO-BE) leveraging BPM tools
  • Identification of KPIs for CXO reporting and dashboarding
  • Perform vendor analysis
  • Design, configuration and implementation of FP&A processes in CPM tools
  • Configuration on activity-based costing models in CPM tools
  • Perform cost Accounting & cost categorization (People & Non people cost)
  • Standardisation and streamline close processes leveraging leading practices and technology
  • CoA design/re-design as per management and statutory reporting needs
  • Build Management Reporting in tools like Power BI/Tableau/Qlik Sense
  • Good Knowledge on ledger and sub-ledger systems; technical know-how of SAP ERP / HANA, Oracle GL (good to have)
  • Knowledge of finance functions – ‘Record to report’, ‘Procure to pay’ and ‘Order to cash’ processes involving account reconciliations, Journals, Transaction matching, Variance analysis, intercompany and Fixed assets accounting / management
  • Translate business requirements to technical language and model (good to have)
  • Bring diverse and thought-provoking perspectives, including relevant market trends, new and innovative ideas from your experience and EY points of view to explore solutions.
Skills and attributes for success

  • Consulting experience and problem-solving skill is a good to have
  • Good articulation skill is a must
  • Strong Data analytics and interpretation skills
  • Proficiency in English and German / French (oral and written)
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

To qualify for the role, you will have

  • MBA (Finance) or Masters degree in Finance and Accounting
  • 2+ years of work experience in FP&A projects
  • 1 year of experience in process assessment and re-design
  • Translate business requirements to technical language and model (good to have)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Project co-ordination skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills is a must
  • Exposure to tools like ERP, HFM, Visio, ARIS, etc.
  • Open to travel (Domestic & International)
