Assistant Accountant

A brilliant and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant role has arisen. This is a temp to perm role and is offering between £24,000 to £30,000 (dependent upon experience). The position is based right in the city centre of Manchester.

Description

The duties will include:

• Being responsible for purchase/sales ledger and aged creditors
• Bank reconciliation and payment runs
• Payroll and system journals
• Assist in production of management accounts
• Produce monthly reports, ad-hoc reports and analysis
• Check all nominal balances at year end
• Prepare year-end journals
• Prepare accruals and prepayments
• Prepare schedules for accountants

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working within industry finance - essential
• Have excellent understanding of bookkeeping - desirable
• Be part qualified
• Have moderate to advance knowledge of MS excel and can pick up systems easily - essential
• Have strong analytical skills and can pay excellent attention to detail - essential
• Have a proactive and adaptable personality - essential
• Be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business - essential
• Be able to work independently - essential

Job Offer

This role is offering between £24,000 to £30,000 equivalent per hour + opportunity to go permanent (which will include study support).
