DESCRIPTION

**This role is based in our Amazon EU headquarters in Luxembourg**

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to lead the vendor management business in Europe, based out of Luxembourg.

As a Finance Manager, you will help define the business strategy for vendor management and you will be responsible for defining and driving key financial projects with different teams across Europe. This position is a critical partner to the EU leadership and Vendor Management teams, and will have responsibility for creating business metrics to assess project performance, forecasting, reporting and analysis. This includes interacting with senior finance and business leaders across Europe to develop set of KPIs and targets for Vendor management teams. The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This is a role with high exposure to senior management across Amazon EU businesses and requires structured thinking and strong communication skills.

Primary responsibilities:

• Driving large scale projects across EU with a significant P&L impact by interacting with our key partners in finance, business and Operations
• Developing KPIs for Vendor management teams across EU
• Developing set of short term and long term goals for relevant KPIs and leading alignment process with business teams
• Defining processes to improve EU financial planning including training of business partners on key deliverables
• Equipping management with regular actionable reporting to enable decision making
• Continually driving team productivity by automating and outsourcing reporting and analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
• Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Analytical mindset: Ability to derive and use fact based analysis to make decisions and have strong technical and problem solving skills
• Experience: 9+ years of relevant experience, ideally working in a fast paced environment
• Dealing with ambiguity: Comfort with dealing with ambiguity and working autonomously
• Leadership skills: Prior people management experience
• Education: Professional Finance qualification (eg ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or MBA a real advantage
• Excel skills: Advanced excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Data Warehouse, COGNOS, and SQL is a strong plus
• The ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines
• A successful track record of continuously driving simplification in processes and improving tools
