Senior Bookkeeper

An opportunity has arisen based in Cheddar to join a growing firm of accountants as a key addition supporting managers and directors as a Senior Bookkeeper, working on a mixed and varied client base focused providing bookkeeping services up to extended trial balance, preparing VAT returns along with a variety of other services. Full time, or part time and flexible working arrangements can be explored to suit around the right person.

Client Details

A highly successful and positively growing accountancy practice based in Cheddar. The business has been undergoing continued and sustained positive growth through referrals and new business generation. The director has clear growth plans and vision, providing a supportive environment and has a loyal, long serving team. The firm has embraced online accounting moving clients onto Xero, Quickbooks and whilst experience with this will be ideal, a background working on Sage or other software is equally of interest and transferable. Part time or full time working arrangements can work from three to four days, or full time. A mix of remote/home to office working will be on offer also, certainly in the short term.

Description

Joining as Senior Bookkeeper you will take responsibility for the delivery of bookkeeping services, up to extended trial balance, preparation of VAT returns and involvement with wider services, dependent on the background and experience of the right professional. You will work on varied clients mixed in industry range and turnover. Clients are primarily limited company, OMBs, SMEs. Alongside this they act for a significant number of smaller sole traders, start-ups and larger clients are into the £millions in turnover. You will carve a key, support role here to managers and directors with increasing responsibility, client contact and development on offer with the role and firm.

Profile

You may be an AAT qualified technician, or you may have developed your career through experience to date only and be looking to build further on this, in a hands on role. Most importantly, as a key requirement to be considered for this role and firm, you will have developed experience across any of bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, CIS, payroll etc within an accountancy practice firm of any size, as a Senior Bookkeeper. You will have at least three years or ideally more experience, developed across any of these areas, within an accounting firm / accountancy practice environment, as a key requirement. Part time or full time working arrangements can work from three to four days, or full time. A mix of remote/home to office working will be on offer also, certainly in the short term.

Job Offer
