Job Summary
- Reporting to the Finance Manager and supporting Stores and Store Operations to manage their P&L and capital budgets
- Supporting our business partners across both central store costs and head office costs
- Business partnering across the relevant areas to drive cost awareness and influence decisions to achieve the best outcomes for the business
- Using data and technology effectively to provide valuable insights to our business partners, enabling better accountability and oversight of their spend
- Providing analysis on performance of key cost lines against budget and building accurate forecasts to help the business track and manage costs
- Work collaboratively across the Finance team to share learnings, work consistently and leverage all P&L lines

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the FM in ensuring high levels of trust in the reporting, communication and forecasting of Stores costs via the management of robust processes and review
- Hold regular reviews with the Store Ops team to share information, make decisions and deliver the plan
- Identification of Opportunities and Risks with sufficient notice to influence the outcome
- Delivery of core finance processes including month end, forecasts, budgets and long range planning
- Analytical support to projects and new initiatives
- Encourage knowledge sharing across the team & actively seek to support the development of others
- Support the evaluation of capital to push for the best possible business outcome on investment
- Liaise with other finance functions (BP&A and Financial Control) to leverage their insight and expertise
- Be the key point of contact for Store Operations within Finance
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- Advanced analytical and numerical skills
- Strong financial systems and Excel skills
- Experience of supporting a commercial operations team
- Ability to build and maintain relationships to deliver results
- Background in retail is preferred but not necessary
- Curious about the business and drivers of performance
- Can describe complex ideas simply and to non-finance teams
- Flexible attitude and forward thinking nature
- Enjoys working in a team environment
