Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant, Hull, salary circa £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent upon experience) plus other benefitsincluding 30 days holiday, pension, staff discount across Heron Foods and B&M.

We are now looking to appoint a Financial Accountant in a newly created role to support the growing team.

Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for timely reporting and working within a busy Accounts department for a FTSE 100 group company. Within this exciting new role you will be responsible for the following:

Assisting with the internal and external audit process throughout the year Assisting with the management of accounts payable and receivable functions Assisting with applying control policies and improving controls Preparation of statutory accounts Ensuring compliance with IFRS16 Taking part in the budget preparation process Supporting the Financial Controller with cash flow Completing balance sheet reporting and review in a timely monthly basis Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

Successful Financial Accountant applicants will ideally have the following:

Commercial awareness and ability to communicate with all departments at all levels ACA / ACCA part or newly qualified Previous experience within a similar role or looking to take your next career step Organised, efficient and able to meet deadlines Ability to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements
