Are you nearing your ACCA / CIMA qualification? Do you have extensive month-end management accounting experience? Would you enjoy a project-focused role in a fast growing and dynamic finance team?
As a result of continued growth and expansion across 2020, we are currently partnering with a leading International property & construction business based in the City of London who are looking for a hands-on Management accountant to join the team.
Reporting into the Finance Manager this role will take ownership for the production of European management accounts for the business, running the month end, budgeting & forecasting process in line with group.
Having achieved well over 100% growth during 2020, and with plans to scale by a further 100% + in 2021 this is an incredibly exciting time to join their dynamic finance team.
The role will be responsible for report analysis and data verification's, assisting with the statutory accounts preparation,accounts reconciliations, preparing and posting journals (e.g. expenses, accruals, prepayments) The Management Accountant will also ensure that all financial controls, policies and procedures are adhered along with ad-hoc projects.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must have a proven track record of managing and adhering to tight deadlines in a fast paced target driven environment. This role will suit an individual who is highly motivated and driven to achieve objectives with a methodical and organised approach. Due to the urgency of this hire they are ideally looking for candidates on a one month notice period or less.
Key responsibilities include:
Full ownership of preparation of management accounts for a number of European subsidiaries, including balance sheet and profit and loss Performing account reconciliations, preparing accounting schedules Assisting with system implementations and migrations Assisting in reviewing and implementing the process and control environment Assisting with report analysis, data verification, statutory accounts and audit processes Assist the project accounting team with any other ad-hoc analysis and duties Ideally they're looking for a someone nearing the end of their accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA), recently qualified or qualified by experience; with demonstrable experience in month-end. Coming from a similar fast-paced environment with project accounting experience would be an advantage. Successful candidates will be flexible and adaptable to changing business demand and due to the urgency of the hire; notice period needs to be one month or less.
